Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale score in drawn draw

GARETH BALE denied Barcelona victory in El Clasico but Real Madrid could not end their unbeaten run in La Liga this season.

DEBO'S BLOG Despite the title race being over already, Real had the extra incentive to beat their great rivals, who are on the verge of completing the first 38-game unbeaten season in La Liga history.
Ernesto Valverde's side now need to avoid a loss in their final three fixtures - two of which are at home - and the most difficult of those was the visit of Real.
Barcelona got off to the perfect start as Luis Suarez volleyed home inside 10 minutes, but the half then belonged to Real.
Cristiano Ronaldo equalised after latching on to a Karim Benzema knock down shortly after Suarez's opener.
And Sergi Roberto then saw red before the break for lashing out needlessly at Marcelo.

With 10 men, though, Lionel Messi expertly found the corner in the second half to regain the lead for Barca at the Nou Camp.
Midfielder Andres Iniesta played in his final Clasico, featuring for an hour before being taken off.
But substitute Bale then swept in a beauty with his left foot to cancel out Messi's goal.
It ended 2-2, with the Champions League finalists restoring some pride following their 3-0 drubbing in El Clasico at the Bernabeu in December.
