Fresh doubt over Neymar's future at PSG

Neymar has made an astonishing £1 million-per-week wage demand to remain at Paris Saint-Germain next season, reports the Times, despite injury preventing the Brazilian from proving his class and lifting the French side to the latter stages of Champions League.
The 26-year-old's ankle ligament damage cruelly denied him the chance to prove he belongs on the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi level, as Real Madrid eased past them into the quarterfinals.
With Los Blancos circling this summer to offer the Brazil international an exit, Neymar is said to want increased terms to shun a move back to the higher-profile La Liga. The £1m per week pay demand will improve upon on the £264.5m guaranteed over his five-year deal in the French capital.
Meanwhile, Brazilian outlet UOL reported five factors that have caused Neymar to seek a quick exit from Ligue 1: increased fouling, a lack of protection from referees, the relatively poorer quality of play, sub-par playing surfaces and bus trips between games.

Woman uses four-year-old baby to pay N100 debt

The Ebonyi state government has commenced investigation into how a mother used her four-year-old daughter to offset a debt of N100. The woman, Veronica Igwe, according to the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Ministry, was been invited for questioning and later handed over to the police. She allegedly gave Uloma, her daughter, to Josephine Nwali after she could not pay a debt of N100. The transaction reportedly took place at the Abakaliki Rice Mill. Ms. Igwe told officials of the ministry that she took the decision to hand Uloma to Ms. Nwali when the pressure from the woman was becoming unbearable. When Ms. Igwe offered her daughter to Ms. Nwali in place of the money, she accepted. The creditor then took Uloma to her house at CAS Campus, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, where she had been for nine months before officials of the ministry got wind of the incident and went after her. Lionel Messi is proving unbeatable both on the pitch and off it with Barcelona's El Prat airport expansion discarded because it would have led to more air traffic above his mansion in the coastal town of Castelldefels. While it has been reported that the project of adding a new runway located close to the sea, near the towns of Gava and Castelldefels,  was turned down for environmental and financial reasons , the president of Spanish low-cost airline Vueling offered a different perspective. "You cannot pass over where Messi lives,"  Javier Sanchez-Prieto said  during a talk at Barcelona's ESADE university. "This doesn't happen anywhere else in the world."
